A New Ostracon Mentioning Biblical Makkedah

Ostracon Maqqéda

I’ve just published a new inscription mentioning biblical Makkedah. It is written in Aramaic and dated to the fourth century BCE.

It is an “ostracon,” i.e. a pottery shard recycled into writing medium. For more information, you may download the article in PDF format:

    Bravo Michaël, époustouflant ! Ce que l’on pourrait croire n’être que des “mythes fondateurs” enfouis dans la poussière des mémoires soi-disant obscures, se révèlent au final être des faits historiques, comme la stèle de Ponce Pilate de Césarée qui confirme son existence et son autorité ! Merci à ceux qui “ressuscitent les morts” :-)
