Do you want to learn Aramaic? If you’ve studied Hebrew before, this course is for you!

We will study the same biblical text in both Hebrew and its ancient Aramaic version (called Targum), which will enable us to quickly identify corresponding vocabulary and easily learn Aramaic conjugations. (more…)

Epigraphic Mission to Norway

Did you know that there are unpublished Dead Sea Scrolls in Norway?

I have been invited by the University of Agder, in Kristiansand to come January 13–18, 2013 and work on these extraordinary Hebrew and Aramaic manuscripts.

I can’t tell you anything about their contents, but they should be published soon… Be patient! ;-)

ASOR 2012 Annual Meeting

I am in Chicago for the ASOR (American Schools of Oriental Research) 2012 Annual Meeting, which takes place on November 14-17.

This conference gathers historians, archaeologists and epigraphers working on the Ancient Near East.

I will present a new Aramaic inscription in the shape of an amulet! See you Thursday morning at 8:20. ;-)
