SBL 2012 Annual Meeting

While in Chicago, I am attending the SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) 2012 Annual Meeting, which takes place on November 17-20.

This conference gathers theologians and Bible scholars from all over the world.
I will present a paper on the textual history of Joshua 10 as well as the new Aramaic inscription presented at ASOR! See you Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM. ;-)

The Text of Joshua 10: Philological, Epigraphical and Diachronic Approach

My lastest book is out! It is a detailed study of the textual witnesses of Joshua 10: the masoretic Hebrew text, the Septuagint old Greek version and its later recensions, but also a new deciphering of the Hebrew Dead Sea Scroll fragments discovered in Qumran cave 4!

I am then able to offer an original reconstruction of this chapter’s textual history… A journey to the heart of the Bible!

SBL 2011 International Meeting in London

I will attend the SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) International Meeting, which will take place on July 4-7, 2011 at the famous King’s College, London.

I will speak in a session entitled “Working with Biblical Manuscripts” with a paper on “Working with Biblical Manuscripts: Joshua 10 at Qumran.” I will show how a new decipherment of the oldest fragments of the Book Joshua sheds light on the history of this fabulous text. See you in London! ;-)
