I’m leaving tomorrow for Baltimore, where the ASOR (American Schools of Oriental Research) and SBL (Society of Biblical Literature) annual meetings take place this year.

I will present several unpublished palaeo-Hebrew ostraca that shed new light on ancient Israelite religion.

Ostraca are pottery shards that have been recycled as writing material, such as the Aramaic ostracon from the fourth century BCE that I published last year.
